Nikola Vucevic is Dolph Ziggler

By Philip Rossman-Reich

There are some wrestlers who are supremely talented who just do not make it for whatever reason. They cannot connect with the fans in a meaningful way, the company wants to push other stars or whatever. Some guys are there to make others look better. The industry needs those superstars.

That is Dolph Ziggler.

He is extremely talented and high energy. He seems to have everything that would connect with fans and make him a champion. Except for a brief run at the top, Ziggler has struggled in the middle of the card or to burst through for his own distinct identity.

He is the ultimate good stats, bad team wrestler.

That is why he is most like Nikola Vucevic. Vucevic has a ton of skill and is relatable to fans. He puts the numbers up and does everything that should make him a winner.

Except, he is missing that something. He does not quite fit the modern NBA world and is essentially the definition of a mid-card wrestler in NBA parlance.

Vucevic is good enough to start for any team and good for a big game or two. But probably not good enough to enter the world championship picture.

Like Dolph Ziggler, Vucevic needs a chance to be at the top. But he probably is not good enough to hold it.
