Undoubtedly the biggest fish among the forwards and post players market. The Magic have long been connected to Horford and having an interest in the Hawks’ center. Even after the Serge Ibaka trade.

Horford provides the Magic with positional versatility and would be a good pairing with Ibaka. Like Nikola Vucevic, Horford can step out on the perimeter and hit jumpers. He has even extended his range to the 3-point line.

He was one of the most complete players in the league. Not a superstar, but a solid and consistent player who buys into a team concept.

This is a guy you bring onto the team and know exactly what he is going to produce each night. He is a true All Star.

His age is a major concern — he is 30 years old — and he does not move the needle completely. He is an All Star but not a superstar. He makes teams better, but not great. Not on his own at least.

Still, the Magic have reportedly long targeted him. That may have changed some with the team acquiring Serge Ibaka. But that is still a potentially big player to add.
