Best game of 2016

April 11 vs. Milwaukee

22 pts., 6 rebs., 3 blks., 10/13 FGs

Ilyasova’s best game came in the second to last game of the year for the Magic. The playoff hopes were long crushed and there was nothing to play for. The young guys took control of the game down the stretch with Dewayne Dedmon and Mario Hezonja getting big buckets.

But Ilyasova was facing his former team the Milwaukee Bucks and he had a point to prove. He scored inside and out. Aaron Gordon missed this game due to a concussion and Ilyasova quietly had his best game in Central Florida.

With the youth being on full display, Ilyasova performed exactly how the Magic wanted him to for the entire second half of the season. Taking and making 3-pointers and using his range to make the opposing defenses pay. The experience and familiarity the Magic desired back at the deadline was on full display on this night.

On the defensive side, Ilyasova blocked three shots and racked up three boards. This performance was one he needed at the end of a long erratic season for the big man.
