This is the old refrain from young, rebuilding teams like the Magic. So we excuse Matt his skepticism. It would be silly not to be skeptical.

After all, the Magic were supposed to make a little bit of the leap this year and at least be in the Playoff conversation. At least they are not in Lottery conversation (just one more Knicks loss, you guys!).

The Magic do need to make some strategic moves this summer, particularly in free agency, and especially in building depth in order to get to that next level. We will have to wait and see until October if they get there.
