That Rookie of the Year race certainly is heating up.

A week ago it seemed almost certain that Andrew Wiggins would run away with the award. That is even with Elfrid Payton wracking up triple doubles and running the team extremely well for a rookie point guard.

However, that Rookie of the Year race has gotten a lot more crowded. Nerlens Noel has been getting increasingly better and his stats are showing. And Nikola Mirotic is finding his second wind in the middle of a Playoff race. Payton has gone from finishing second to finishing fourth with the play of some of these youngsters.
