5 NBA Draft prospects to know for the Orlando Magic’s 11th pick

Noah Clowney, Alabama

If this is a draft where the Orlando Magic have to fulfill some needs then they are going to have to put some attention at the forward position.

Orlando is more than set with its starters in Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. The team is not looking for starter help. But behind them, the Magic lack a lot of size.

Jonathan Isaac is still around, but his reliability is certainly a question mark. And there is plenty to say about the inconsistency that comes from Chuma Okeke and Bol Bol at the moment.

The Magic could very well use one of their draft picks to add another one of the versatile forwards this team likes to the mix. That is why Taylor Hendricks is one of the targets with the sixth pick, even if he has a lower upside.

The options later in the draft for forwards seem to be a bit lower. But Alabama forward Noah Clowney is someone to keep an eye on.

If Brandon Miller did all the heavy lifting and highlight work for the Crimson Tide this year, Noah Clowney did all the dirty work.

He averaged 9.8 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game for the Tide this year. His rebound rate was at 15.5 percent with a 21.4 percent defensive rebound rate.

Clowney just fills in well as a defender and rebounder from the 4-spot. You are not going to see him get a lot of offense beyond his ability to get putbacks and work around the basket. But energy is certainly a valuable skill and that will get you on the court.
