Top 10 games of the Orlando Magic’s 2023 season

7. 50-Point Quarter — vs. Atlanta Hawks (Dec. 14)

38. Final. 124. 125. 135

The Orlando Magic were not known as an offensive team this year. In fact, they were still one of the worst offensive teams in the entire league. That comes from a lot of young players, a lot of poor shooting and a lack of depth.

Still, this is an offensive league. Everyone has a good day. And when there is a good day in this modern NBA, teams can have a really good day.

Even the Orlando Magic.

The Magic had a day to close out their December homestand and continue to build what would become a season-long six-game win streak. The Atlanta Hawks were done after 12 minutes (not really, they did cut the lead down to four before the Orlando Magic pulled away for an easy win).

Orlando scored a franchise-record 50 points in the first quarter, inking the 50-point quarter on the final possession to hit that magical mark. It was an incredible game.

Whether that was Bol Bol putting on perhaps the best individual highlight of the season or just the constant scoring from the team, it was just a fun night.

Franz Wagner had 24 points, Paolo Banchero had 20 and Bol Bol had 20 to pace this balanced offensive game. The Magic hit 16 of 36 3-pointers.

This was just a hot night for the team and a fun historic evening for a young team that was brimming with confidence and coming into its own. There may not have been a better offensive game than this one for the Magic.
