It is no secret the Orlando Magic are an improving organization who may be able to go out this offseason and make a big splash if they see fit.
If they elect not to do that, they will still likely have two lottery picks in the NBA Draft with which to significantly improve what is already a promising young roster.
A third option the front office can explore, and really it is something they should always be doing, is identifying distressed assets around the league, and targeting them to add to the roster.
The Orlando Magic have a lot of options ahead of them as they prepare for their offseason. They should always be looking for value and young players who could continue growing with their young core.
We have already seen the Magic execute this to perfection, in prying Markelle Fultz from the Philadelphia 76ers when his value was at its lowest.
Fultz should be in the Most Improved Player discussion this season, and has completely revived his career in Florida.
Identifying these kinds of players is never easy, both because every other team is trying to do the same thing, and because nobody else wants to look foolish and give up on a player too soon.
What follows here are three players who have value of one kind or another to their current employers.
Crucially however, these individuals could be forced out of town sooner rather than later as a result of circumstances beyond their control within the organizations they play for.
