With the NBA’s regular season coming to an end, the Orlando Magic can now turn their attention to the offseason.

This summer is a big one for the organization, as they build on a two-year stretch that has seen them hire and back coach Jamahl Mosley and draft the correct players.

We know from the previous attempts at rebuilding how hard it is to get this part of the process correct, and yet in a lot of ways that was the easy part of what the Magic are trying to achieve.

With so much for the franchise to try and get right as they move forward, there are actually already five offseason tasks the Orlando Magic should be working on.

We often think of the summer months as a time for each team in the league to pause and take stock of where they are at in the hierarchy.

In reality, however, these offseason months are even busier for a front office like the Magic, who are trying to build something truly special in the coming years.

The Magic will enter this offseason with potentially two Lottery picks and tons of cap room to play. On top of this, they have the likely Rookie of the Year and a group of budding young stars. This is a team that feels like it is on the rise.

And that rise will only continue if the Magic make the right moves this offseason.

Getting out ahead of this is important, so let’s examine these all-important areas that the organization should already be working on ahead of the 2023-24 season.
