Orlando Magic Position Review: Centers

How Bol Bol can help

Lucky for the Orlando Magic they have a potential do-it-all guy with Bol Bol. He can come in and help in all aspects of the game when he is healthy. Bol is yet to play a game with the Magic but is set up to make an impact when he is healthy.

He is 7-foot-2 with a 7-foot-8 wing span, so he can definitely make an impact defensively.

Moe Wagner is mainly an offensive center but Bol Bol can make up for it on the defensive side since they will most likely be competing for minutes.

In Bol’s 53 games, he has yet to be able to show much of anything but his potential is unmatched. His length can help him bring in rebounds and he moves quick for his size and has the length to be an elite defender and shot blocker.

Bol Bol looks like he has the potential to be able to guard all five positions which is unheard of at his size. He also has the offensive skill set of all five positions.

Bol is another center who can stretch the floor. He has shot a career 37.8 percent from three. He has also shot a career 47.8 percent from the field and better than 50 percent for two of his three seasons.

Of course, this is all in limited time. The Denver Nuggets primarily used him as a perimeter player and injuries have kept him from doing anything consistently.

He is not only someone who can stretch the floor but he is great under the basket. His size makes him an impossible guard under the rim. He has shot a career 60.9 percent from two, 87.5 percent from within three feet and 80 percent from 3-10 feet.

If he can just stay healthy he has a lot of opportunity to help out the Magic squad in many different areas. Offensively and defensively he has so much potential, and there is so much good he can do for this team.

If he can help at all that will be a big addition to this center core that is already amazing. He may not receive the credit just like the rest of the centers but he can make a big impact as well. All the Magic centers put in work and effort this year that does not get enough mention.
