The Orlando Magic will open their 2021-22 home schedule one week from Friday when Evan Fournier leads the New York Knicks into the Amway Center. For the first time in seven years, the Magic will open their season on the road when the schedule tips off Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Magic are clearly very excited to be back in the Amway Center with full capacity allowed. Already, the team has talked about how impactful the fans have been in their two home preseason games — both games that were tight down the stretch and engaged the fans.

The NBA schedule is usually pretty straightforward. Every team gets to host all the big stars and contending teams at least once in the course of the season. There is not a whole lot to it.

There plenty of marquee games the Orlando Magic will play at the Amway Center this year. There are also plenty you should not sleep on.

Any Orlando Magic fan will have matchups against the Los Angeles Lakers (Jan. 21), Brooklyn Nets (Nov. 10 and March 15) and Milwaukee Bucks (Dec. 28 and Dec. 30) at the top of their list of must-watch home games. The Oct. 22 home opener against the Knicks should also be pretty high on the list of home games you must attend.

There are big games and then there are games that sneak under the radar. Games that are played on a random Tuesday at the Amway Center that become memorable or just become a good time. Hidden opponents that create solid matchups.

While the usual suspects are certainly surefire ways to see some of the best NBA players in the league, there are plenty of sneaky opportunities to catch some of the best home games during the regular season within the Magic schedule.

The preseason is now over and the Magic are focused on the start of their regular-season schedule. We are too. And while the schedule will offer plenty of challenges, we are especially looking forward to the home games. Plenty though fall through the cracks.

Here are five under-the-radar home games this season.
