Cade Cunningham. . Oklahoma State. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. G. 465

Cade Cunningham is the most complete player in the draft class and would be starting on a decent amount of NBA teams, including the Orlando Magic, if he were in the league right now.

It is also widely believed he would have been the number 1 pick in last year’s draft if he were able to enter out of high school.

At 6-foot-8, Cunningham is a freshman point guard with great size and length. He has all of the offensive tools in the book. He can drive, shoot, pass, and create — all at a high level.

In his time with Oklahoma State this season, Cunningham has only proved scouts right. He has been efficient at a high usage rate and his numbers reflect that: 19.7 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, and 3.5 assists per game, on a 52.7-percent effective field goal percentage.

For comparisons, think a smaller version of Ben Simmons, but with a jump shot. He has been shooting 42-percent from three this season.

For the Magic, and many other NBA franchises, Cunningham would immediately be given the keys to the car. He is the type of player to build an offense around. At first glance, he also looks to be one of the few generational draft prospects that can affect winning in year one.

If the Magic were lucky enough to win the draft lottery, Cunningham is a no-brainer.
