The next batch of Orlando Magic classics are airing on FOX Sports Florida. But there are a lot of games they skip over that you would be remiss not to watch.
We are still waiting for the Orlando Magic and NBA season to resume.
While players will be getting access to their practice facilities beginning Friday and are eagerly waiting just to get a basketball in their hands and have access to a hoop to get back to work, there is still a long way to go before we get games again.
And so FOX Sports Florida is giving us some more classic Magic games on their air to pass the time.
Starting Tuesday, the Orlando Magic are re-airing all four wins from the team’s 1995 Eastern Conference Finals victory over the Indiana Pacers and then jumping ahead to show the four wins from the 2009 first-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers.
It is safe to assume they will show the remaining wins from the 2009 Playoffs run — against the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, at least — in their next batch of Magic Classics.
But wait, that is a pretty wide gap. A lot of Magic history happened between 1995 and 2009. Even if the network is trying to focus on the playoffs, there are a lot of classic moments the network is skipping over.
Anfernee Hardaway and Tracy McGrady put together some of the best playoff performances in Magic history. The Heart & Hustle team played playoff-caliber games in their ill-fated 1999-2000 season. Dwight Howard had monstrous playoff performances in his first runs through the postseason.
There is a lot to get to still. And a lot of games worth revisiting.
Luckily we are here for you to guide you through 10 more classic Magic games you should watch to pass the time, even as businesses start to reopen. We will put a special focus on the playoffs, to continue FOX Sports Florida’s theme. But there are also quite a few regular-season games to check out too.
As always, you can find most of these games and plenty more classic Magic games in the Orlando Magic Video Vault.
