OMD Prediction
No one could complain about the fight the Orlando Magic showed on Monday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. But the Bucks were firmly in control of that game — really from start to finish. This Magic team is still struggling to put all the pieces together. And this is another opponent where the pieces have to be together to win. Orlando has perhaps the defensive weapons to handle LeBron James and Anthony Davis as well as anyone. Expect Jonathan Isaac to get his shot at Anthony Davis and Aaron Gordon on LeBron James. But everything else — especially offensively — has to be on point.
1) The Orlando Magic need to play the “stock” market to make the most of their defense.
2) The message from Steve Clifford was clear following the Orlando Magic’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks — the Magic need to be more physical on the defensive glass, Josh Robbins of The Athletic writes.
3) Coach Steve Clifford confirmed Markelle Fultz is no longer playing under any minute restriction, Roy Parry of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
4) LeBron James and Anthony Davis have become quick teammates for the Los Angeles Lakers and one of the best duos in the league, as expected, Thuc Nhi Nguyen writes of The Los Angeles Times writes.
5) The 2020 Los Angeles Lakers are reminding Andy Kamenetzky of The Athletic of the champion 2009 Lakers.
6) Evan Fournier discussed facing former coach Frank Vogel and the Los Angeles Lakers on The Jim Rome Show.
7) I review the first quarter fo the Orlando Magic’s season on Locked On Magic.
8) Dwight Howard is unsure of the reception he will get when the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, some feelings are still fairly raw, Josh Robbins of The Athletic writes.
9) Anthony Davis wants to make sure the Los Angeles Lakers bench is getting its just credit, Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen and Roll writes.
10) Jared Dudley grants the ticket request for one special fan each Los Angeles Lakers home game by combing his Twitter mentions for worthy asks, Kyle Goon of The Orange County Register writes.
11) The Orlando Magic are readying for a difficult stretch heading all the way to Christmas and hey will have to find their balance, Roy Parry of the Orlando Sentinel writes. The Los Angeles Lakers present another challenging game the Magic have to find a result in, Mike Cali of Orlando Pinstriped Post writes.
12) Shutting down Evan Fournier is at the top of the list for the Los Angeles Lakers to win Wednesday’s game, Ethan Temkin of Lake Show Life writes.
13) The Los Angeles Lakers are wisely being cautious bringing Rajon Rondo back from injury, Nick Ziegler of Lake Show Life writes.
14) The Orlando Magic will honor Darrell Armstrong with entry into the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame in February. Armstrong was truly a star that belongs solely to Orlando.
15) Darrell Armstrong tells Eddie Sefko of Mavs.com how humbled and proud he is to join the elite company in the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame.
16) The Orlando Magic come in at No. 170 in the FanSided Fandom 250. The Magic are still 20th in the NBA, but they are a fandom on the rise.
