Best Game of 2019

March 25 vs. 76ers: 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 assists, 5/8 FGs

Michael Carter-Williams was at the end of his first 10-day contract. He had made a clear impact with the team and it was clear things were working out really well. A second 10-day contract was a guarantee and a contract for the rest of the year was all but a mechanical certainty (the team would have to waive someone to sign him under a non-injury waiver).

He had been impressive so far just by simply changing the team’s attitude and demeanor. The team was playing with a lot of spirit. And, most importantly, winning.

He celebrated his second 10-day contract with a big game scoring wise. To close out a perfect five-game homestand, Carter-Williams went off on one of his old teams.

Carter-Williams did what he did best during this game. He got inside to the paint and around the rim to finish shots. The Orlando Magic routed the Philadelphia 76ers and Carter-Williams proved a big part of the puzzle.

He was a big part of the puzzle for the team throughout that homestand. And he was all over the place in this game, attacking the glass and getting the Magic out in transition.

This was a perfect example of what Carter-Williams provided the team throughout the season. This was the boost and push Carter-Williams provided for his short slice of the season.
