What should the Orlando Magic do at the trade deadline as of today? Are they buying or selling?

Rossman-Reich: I still preach caution when it comes to the trade deadline. I think the Orlando Magic should be looking for ways to improve the team, but I do not think they should sell the farm to get there. I do not think they should move any long-term assets — even this year’s draft pick with protections. Orlando has to stay patient and be very strategic. No move should make this year’s team worse and no move should harm the team beyond this year.

Palmer: What should the Orlando Magic do? Man, I honestly do not know. I guess if you can sell Jonathon Simmons for anything more valuable than cap space next year, you pull the trigger on that. Otherwise, it all depends.

I would probably sell Terrence Ross or Nikola Vucevic if an offer just seemed to good to be true. I would probably offer the Oklahoma City Thunder pick and/or the worse of the second round picks this year for some upgrades to shooting or the point guard spot as well.

Is that possible? The Magic are in a really weird spot.

Racine: The Orlando Magic should be buyers at the trade deadline. They are too close to a playoff berth to gut the team. Orlando should trade expendable players like Jerian Grant, Jonathon Simmons and Timofey Mozgov. The Magic have a good thing going with Terrence Ross, Nikola Vucevic and the rest of the young core. Imagine if that unit became stronger with added scoring and improved play at the point guard position.
