What do we make of the Orlando Magic’s recent run? Do you believe in this team or is this just delaying the inevitable?

Philip Rossman-Reich (@philiprr_omd): I have been on this kick for a while now, teams in the position the Orlando Magic are in — the mediocre teams — have these kinds of wild swings. They can look like world beaters in one moment and then terrible the next. What the Magic of the past have struggled to do is reel themselves back in — stopping four-game losing streaks from becoming eight-game streaks or eight in nine games.

The jury still feels like it is out on this group, but they have done a good job reeling themselves back in.

I do not think the team is delaying the inevitable. The bottom of the East is bad enough to keep Orlando motivated to play for something. That is a big difference this year. But it still would not surprise me if they fade a bit as the season reaches the end.

Zach Palmer (@FmrTankCommandr): I believe this is the team the Orlando Magic are. They are young, they are inconsistent, they are streaky (just like their shooting), and that is just how it is going to be.

Is it good enough to make the playoffs? Maybe.

If there is significant value on the table for somebody like Nikola Vucevic or Terrence Ross should the Magic pull the trigger? Probably.

Honestly, the Magic are in a pretty tough spot and I do not envy the choices that they are going to have to make relatively soon.

Jean Racine (@jeangracine): I do not make much of the Orlando Magic’s recent run. It just shows how inconsistent the Magic have been all season. One game they can beat the best team in the league and the next lose to the worst.
