What is the biggest question you have for the Orlando Magic entering training camp?

Steven Burnley: How much of an offensive load is Jonathan Isaac ready to take on? Rumblings around the team and around the league seem to indicate he could be the second coming of Kevin Durant. And he looked good at summer league. I will be excited to see if this can translate to training camp and then eventually the season.

Zach Palmer (@FmrTankCommandr): The biggest question for me is trying to figure out how exactly the Magic plan to use Jonathan Isaac. I honestly am not sure how much of a load Isaac should take on offensively. One of the things that I am most excited about in terms of Steve Clifford is that he seems to emphasize what role a player will be given. My guess is that Clifford at this point envisions Isaac as his lockdown defensive weapon and a corner 3-point shooter with very little shot creating responsibility. Honestly, I think that path is probably what is best for Orlando’s chances at winning this season, though I am not sure it is the best thing for Isaac’s career trajectory.

Philip Rossman-Reich (@philiprr_omd): I am still trying to figure out where the offense will come from. As good as this team might be on defense, it is difficult to have a strong defense without at least a functioning offense. The two sides of the ball are all connected. So if the team is struggling offensively, the defense is not going to reach its full potential. The assumption is Aaron Gordon is ready to take a step up offensively. But that has not yet been proven. Who knows where Jonathan Isaac is at either? It is still a mystery where this team’s offense will come from — and just how much the team can or should continue to rely on Nikola Vucevic and Evan Fournier.

Jean Racine (@realjeanracine): The biggest question I have for the Orlando Magic is how they are going to play Jonathan Isaac, Aaron Gordon and Mohamed Bamba together. I am still not sold that either Aaron Gordon or Jonathan Isaac can play the small forward position. Both players seem to be growing into their bodies, but Gordon is the far better ball-handler and shooter. He can create his own offense off the dribble and plays more like a small forward than Isaac. But both players best position seems to be at power forward.
