Overall Outlook

If Mohamed Bamba is able to modestly contribute offensively his rookie year and impact the defense the way he did during Summer League, his rookie year will be considered a success.

It is still up in the air as to who exactly is the centerpiece of the future for the Magic. Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac and Mohamed Bamba all have their hat in the ring. For now they are the three players the Magic seem most intent on building around. They are the ones who have Magic fans the most excited.

But all three have their own questions they need to answer. The Magic have a lot of questions they need to answer themselves. It will take some time for all the pieces to come together.

What to expect from Bamba as a rookie will still be a big question mark. He certainly should be able to step in and make a defensive impact immediately. Everything else will be a work in progress.

And Orlando will have to make sure they manage his workload while giving him every opportunity to grow and learn on the court.

Bamba will need to show flashes during his rookie year by coming up big when the team needs him to. As previously stated, he has shown he is willing to put in the work. He will next need to show that his hard work will translate onto an NBA floor.
