The Orlando Magic fell to the sixth pick in the NBA Draft. But even with some expected shuffles, they will have more than a few options to choose from.

The Orlando Magic did not get the luck they hoped for in the NBA Draft Lottery this year. The team fell one spot to the sixth overall pick for the second straight year. It was not the most ideal location.

Of course, this is considered a deep draft. There are a lot of quality players. Beyond even the normal platitudes from general managers and league executives about where the Lottery fates will them, there are several intriguing potential stars to choose from.

Orlando’s options may not be the very best players in this draft. But they still have plenty of options.

Predicting the draft at this stage is a bit of a fool’s errand — that mock draft will be published shortly. There is still a lot of moving and shaking to go on. Teams will begin interviewing prospects at the NBA Draft Combine this week and begin scheduling individual and group workouts at their team facilities.

Those workouts are not the end-all, be-all for the prospects. But those interactions with the team and their personnel will help separate the prospects a bit more as teams get on the clock on June 21.

Likely though the team will miss out on the top guys. Dreams of Luka Doncic or Deandre Ayton went up in smoke the moment the Magic landed outside the top two. Thoughts of Jaren Jackson Jr. are on life support too.

There is still the strong possibility that forward Marvin Bagley III and center Mohamed Bamba could slip to the Magic at six if someone deviates at the top of the draft. There is still a strong possibility the Magic will get their man. Or at least who fans think is their man.

But, for now, the consensus seems to be that those five players will be the ones to go in the top five. Leaving the Magic with the best of the rest.

There is still a long way to go before the NBA Draft. There is still a lot of information to gather and research to complete for these teams before the big day.

As this process now has some clarity, here are a few players to keep an eye as the Magic begin to winnow down their decision at No. 6.
