Heading into conference tournaments, which college prospect are you most intrigued with? Who can help themselves the most in the NCAA Tournament?

Jumani: I am most intrigued with Oklahoma Sooners guard Trae Young, I really want to see what he is capable of doing when the lights are bright. But in his defense, teams are now just double teaming him from the half court, which makes it harder to put up numbers like he has in the past. I want to see how he adjusts to the swarming defense he faces night in and night out. I think Texas Longhorns center Mohamad Bamba can help himself the most, his stock was very high at the beginning of the season but has dropped quite a bit. Having a great tournament will help his stock a lot, as he seems like a one of a kind rim protector. [Eds. Note: Our roundtable was partially written before conference tournaments… Texas is squarely on the bubble and likely to miss the NCAA Tournament]

Rossman-Reich: The guy who has quietly been rising up draft boards the last few weeks is Duke Blue Devils big man Wendell Carter Jr. It might be that I have to notice him now with the Magic slipping a bit in the tankathon. Duke has big expectations obviously. Marvin Bagley is taking a lot of the headlines and he could be in for a big tournament. But Carter seems like the kind of big man NBA teams are looking for more than Bagley. He could help himself out a lot by helping the Blue Devils win the ACC title.

Henderson: It is clearly Trae Young. I love this young man’s game. He is perfect for the game, a knock-down shooter who can penetrate defenses. I do not know how he is not on the Magic’s radar considering how abysmal the offense has been since Dwight Howard left. It seems like the Magic had a plethora of shooters during the Howard era and now cannot find shooting, besides Evan Fournier. I believe Young will be a better shooter than Fournier in the long run and would be a nice fit on a team lacking scoring. Missouri Tigers forward Michael Porter Jr. could help out his draft stock if he can bounce back from that loss to the Georgia Bulldogs and make a run in the tournament.
