Orlando, at its heart, is a college football town. The biggest sporting events in Orlando every year still happen at Camping World Stadium in late December and early January.

The Citrus Bowl is one of the best bowl games every year, last year featuring Heisman-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson. The newly renamed Camping World Bowl is always a fun matchup between the Big 12 and ACC.

Several other events take place under the purview of one man as a promoter for Orlando.

Steve Hogan has led Florida Citrus Sports for 11 years and has helped expand Florida’s offerings involved with its bowl games and Camping World Stadium. As part of the Central Florida Sports Commission, he helped secure the Pro Bowl and WrestleMania last year, albeit with plenty of assists from the rest of that staff and Mayor Buddy Dyer.

The bowl games have continued to shine for Orlando and be a showcase event for the city.
