Dec. 23: @ Washington Wizards

At the tail end of 2017, the Orlando Magic will be facing defending division champion Washington Wizards. This will be the first matchup between the teams.

Prior to last season, the Magic lost 12 straight games to the Wizards. This past year Orlando managed to split the season series with Washington.

It was an odd series last year due to how strong the Wizards looked last season. Orlando caught Washington early while Washington was struggling and picked up a few wins before mid-December. There is a chance the Magic have their number now and can hopefully take two games again from a sure-fire playoff team.

After a terrific season, John Wall and the Wizards are ready to become the Eastern Conference elite. Led by their strong guard play, Washington is the odds-on favorite to win the Southeast.

The Magic do not have a coveted Christmas Day game, so this will be as close the Magic get to being a part of the holiday festivities. Hopefully, the Magic can get their fans in good spirits when this game rolls around.
