Nov. 20: vs. Indiana Pacers

Former Orlando guard Victor Oladipo will be returning with his new team, the Indiana Pacers in late November. This will be Orlando’s first nationally televised game and it will air on NBATV.

Following the Paul George trade, the Pacers are taking their first steps towards rebuilding. Indiana will have their struggles, but they have pieces to build around.

Regardless of Orlando’s record when this game takes place, this should be seen as a victory on paper. Orlando needs to take advantage of weaker teams if they want any shot at the postseason next year. The Pacers are not going to be very good.

On paper, both the Magic and Pacers will appear to be lottery teams. Still, both feature young talent that may develop into stars in a few seasons. Players like Myles Turner and Aaron Gordon should get their time to shine in this contest.

It may not garner the casual audience, but diehard fans will get a nice look at a pair of teams whose futures appear bright. Plus, seeing Oladipo is always a fun storyline to get behind.
