The 2017 season is not quite over yet. Not until NBA.com names the top 15 plays of the Orlando Magic’s season. Take a look at the list.

The 2017 season for the Orlando Magic was, unfortunately, a very forgettable one. The team’s 29-53 record was an extreme disappointment. The team hoped to make the Playoffs and fell woefully short.

The team is still picking up the pieces from the season and trying to find their way forward. It seems like everyone faces some big questions this year. Most of all, the Magic themselves.

The 2018 season is going to be very different from the 2017 season. It has to be. And the Magic and their fans certainly want it to be.

Of course, during the course of an 82-game season, not every moment is bad. There are good memories and good moments that the team should always share. There were plenty of highlights throughout the year, perhaps serving as a reminder of what the team could have been if they could put everything together consistently.

Highlights are inevitable when Aaron Gordon is on the team. He is a human highlight reel. And there are plenty of Gordon highlights to go around every season.

This year was no different.

Before the NBA schedule comes out — the first games are set for release Thursday with the full schedule likely due out early next week — it is time for one last look at the 2017 season. NBA.com is happy to oblige.

NBA.com released the top 15 plays from the 2017 Magic season. That should help tide everyone over until training camp starts:

As expected, Aaron Gordon features prominently throughout the entire countdown. He makes up almost half of the plays on the list. #OneAaronGordonHighlightPerGame is not so far fetched indeed.

HIs top plays from last year include his 360 dunk against the Philadelphia 76ers, his half-court alley-ooped reverse jam against the Milwaukee Bucks and his soaring jam over Marcus Smart. Gordon was a reason to tune in every night just to see what he does.

Evan Fournier also featured prominently in the rankings. His behind the back assist to Bismack Biyombo against the Bucks clocked in the list as did his stuff over Kristaps Porzingis.

But the top spot went to Serge Ibaka‘s game-winner against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It capped off a career-high game for him and was the definition of a revenge game for him in his first game back in Oklahoma City.

It was a solid performance and a great win, but probably not the top play of the season. That would have to be one of Gordon’s many gravity-defying dunks.
