16. player. 24. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Justin Patton. Center. Creighton

The Minnesota Timberwolves will get a solid rim protector in Justin Patton after their deal is completed. I like Patton as that change-of-pace shot blocker. He has to add some strength, but this is a very good pick.

Expect a run on centers to begin. There are a lot of centers available in this draft. If teams get panicky they will not get Ike Anigbogu or Jarrett Allen, they could start burning them off. The Milwaukee Bucks will take one of the few wing players in D.J. Wilson. So the Magic should be watching very carefully if they are seeking a wing player, or a point guard. Now might be the time to strike.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. D.J. Wilson. 17. player. Forward. Michigan. 89

I am really surprised D.J. Wilson was picked this high. I had him pegged as a player the Magic would take around No. 25. Another one of those wings the Magic might need to supplement their roster — although, he like Jonathan Isaac is a versatile tweener. He is off the board now anyway.

This is a very John Hammond/Milwaukee Bucks pick. He is a long, athletic wing player who can defend and is growing as a shooter. Interesting pick here.

Orlando probably should look to sneak in here soon if they want to move up and make sure they get a point guard like Jawun Evans or a forward like Semi Ojeleye.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Power Forward. 100. UCLA. T.J. Leaf. 18. player

T.J. Leaf is a solid shooter and should be able to contribute fairly quickly for the Indiana Pacers. Good pair next to Myles Turner. I thought he might be a good option for Orlando. But probably not now after taking Jonathan Isaac. Other stretch-4s available late.

player. 125. Power Forward. Wake Forest. 19. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. John Collins

The Atlanta Hawks needed to get some size with the Dwight Howard trade. I think John Collins is a good pick to replace him. He is a mobile scorer who works well around the basket. I think he fits the Golden State Warriors mode of center better than Howard would. A good building block for Travis Schlenk to start.

34. Pick Analysis. Center. Duke. 20. Scouting Report. Harry Giles. player

This pick is headed to Sacramento, giving the Kings another quality, talented center. Harry Giles is more Earth-bound than their other bigs. But he is very very talented. Knee injuries slowed him down last year at Duke.
