OG Anunoby, Indiana

Like Mitchell, OG Anunoby is a defensive-minded wing who has slowly grown into his role and shined in his final year in college. Or at least, Anunoby did before he injured his knee and required surgery. He has been unable to participate in workouts or at the Combine.

Still, Anunoby’s body of work is impressive. As are his measurables. Like Mitchell, he has all the physical tools to be a strong defender and the desire to do so too.

Last year for the Indiana Hoosiers, Anunoby averaged 11.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. His offensive impact was fairly limited. But when Anunoby gets his shoulders toward the basket and some space to drive, he is good at using his physicality to his advantage. And he has some athleticism and explosion to get to the basket.

Anunoby has plenty of questions though. His inconsistent jumper is among them. And he was a poor free throw shooter (56.3 percent). So that may not be something that will get better immediately. And his lingering knee injury should also be a concern.

Still, the talent is undeniable. Before his injury, some people considered him a top-10 pick. Anunoby now may go toward the end of the Lottery. And that might make him a solid target for the Magic to take a chance on and trade up to get him if that is what they desire.
