Best Game of 2017

Jan. 20 vs. Milwaukee Bucks
13 pts., 13 rebs., 4 blks.

Biyombo had a few very strong games in which he was extremely effective defensively, dominated the boards and finished the short range shot opportunities. Unfortunately, that just did not happen enough.

Some of his best games included the loss at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder, matching up against a good defender and rebounder in Steven Adams. He also played really well in the wins against the Washington Wizards.

However, his best game was the win against the Milwaukee Bucks on Jan. 20. The Magic went up against a strong Bucks team and Biyombo had a really strong performance coming off the bench.

Biyombo (+21 plus-minus) completely outplayed the other two Magic big men (-5 plus-minus each), and Vogel left him on the court for longer than each of the two starting big men.

He finished with 13 points on 5-for-6 shooting, 13 rebounds and four blocks. He completely neutralized Greg Monroe. He also caused problems for Giannis Antetokounmpo at the rim. Along with Aaron Gordon’s defense, Antetokounmpo shot 6 for 17 overall.

His energy seemed contagious, and the Magic beat a playoff team by 16 points.

The Magic hoped for more games like this from Biyombo.
