"T-Mac going into the Hall of Fame is the best Magic-related news of the month. But they’ve also been playing better, and Elfrid Payton has made a solid case for Orlando to draft something other than a point guard in June."

The Tracy McGrady news was a nice respite for the Orlando Magic in a difficult season so far. It is unclear yet how the Magic will honor him — other than interviewing him on their radio show, Magic DriveTime on Wednesday. For sure, McGrady will get called up for the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame at some point next season. He is the Magic’s second hall of fame.

But that seems about all the team can celebrate these days.

Last week, the Magic saw Russell Westbrook drop a NBA-record 57 points in his triple-double. That came with the Amway Center crowd serenading Westbrook with M-V-P chants. It was definitely a pro-Thunder crowd at the Amway Center that evening. The only thing that could seemingly get more of an unintended reaction is Roman Reigns standing in the middle of the arena.

It has been that kind of season. The Magic have had some nice home wins, but it is largely a forgettable and frustrating season. And the team needs something good to happen.
