The Orlando Magic season is approaching the end, and the team has started to build some momentum. Now we take a look at some of the top NBA Draft prospects

The Orlando Magic have begun to build some momentum for next season. Elfrid Payton’s confidence is growing as he has become a nightly triple-double threat. Aaron Gordon has looked more comfortable since moving back to his preferred power forward position.

The team has generally looked up with its new playing style. But there are still changes the team needs to undergo to get where it wants to be.

Even with the team working to make the most of the end of this season, the Magic are also looking forward.

The 2017 NBA Draft has been projected to be one of the strongest in years.  The draft is deep and there are multiple projected NBA ‘difference-makers’.  The Magic have two first round picks, with one likely in the top five. This year’s draft will play a big role in rebuilding the Magic.

The Magic should be looking at players who are ready to contribute.

In the NBA Draft, potential is king. But the Magic do not have time to wait on developing another player. The team needs to show results as soon as possible.

Instead of drafting on what a player can become, the organization has to put more stock on what a player is. There are only a handful of superstars in the NBA. It’s important to consider the player’s ceiling.

And the Magic, with a high draft pick in a deep draft, should be looking at something that is more of a sure thing than their last trips to the Lottery.

As the NCAA Tournament ends, we begin to break down our big board for the NBA Draft and ranking the prospects available to the Magic.
