"There’s speculation that Doc Rivers might come back to Orlando, but the truth is, that probably wouldn’t fix much. The off-season rumor mill is aliiiiiiive!"

We covered the Doc Rivers rumor in depth earlier this week. But the rumor mill is churning. And where there is smoke, there is usually some fire.

Rivers may not be coming to Orlando to save the day this summer — he is still under contract with the LA Clippers after all. But the Magic could very easily be looking for a change in their front office.

It seems inevitable at this point. Everyone’s patience lasts to a point. And while Rob Hennigan said when he took over this would be a prolonged process, it at least needed to show continual progress.

The last two years, the Magic said they were focused on making the Playoffs. Failing to deliver on that promise for two straight years is not going to re-assure fans. And to take a massive step back this year after giving up so many key assets in the last two years? Those are the kind of mistakes that create change.

For now, the Magic are going to wait to make these evaluations for after the season.
