Will Terrence Ross be a part of Magic’s future of making the Playoffs?

The Orlando Magic acquired Terrence Ross to help the team turn things around this season. Unfortunately for the Magic, this trade came to short in time for it to make a major impact. The Magic are seven games out of the Playoffs and are 14th in the East with only 19 games left.

Ross has given the Magic a slight boost on defense and offense, but the Magic still need more. Ross is not going to save this season.

With this season coming to an end next month, the Magic will soon start thinking about the offseason and how they will improve for the next season.

Alex Martins said he expects the Orlando Magic to be active in the 2017 summer free agency. The Magic are not sitting tight or rebuilding. They plan to push for the 2018 Playoffs next year.

Terrence Ross has a bigger opportunity in Orlando than what he had in Toronto, coming off the bench playing behind Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. Whatever Terrence Ross decides to do with this opportunity in Orlando, will decide how far his career can go with the Magic.

Ross brings a lot for the Magic both on defense and offense.

Ross is shooting a career high of 44 percent from the floor and 35 percent from behind 3-point line. He is also having a career-high 14.9 PER, and a career-high of 16.7 points per 36 minutes.

This does show that Terrence Ross is efficient.

But will it be enough for him to be with the Magic years to come?

Ross said he likes the roster this team here has here in Orlando with Evan Fournier and Nikola Vucevic.

So he is happy here as of now. And he clearly can contribute something the Magic need.
