Reggie Jackson, Detroit Pistons

Reggie Jackson has been linked to the Magic for approximately a week now.

Recently, Marc Stein of ESPN reported the Magic and Pistons have discussed a potential trade that would send D.J. Augustin and Jeff Green to the Detroit Pistons for Jackson.  he Pistons would need to add another player to make the salaries work.

Jackson seems like the type of player the Magic would like to acquire as they continue to revamp their roster.  Jackson is under contract until the 2020 season and he is only 26 years old.

Last season, Jackson had a career season in his first full year with the Pistons. Jackson averaged 18.8 points, 6.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game while shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from three-point range.

This season, Jackson has had a down year due to a knee injury he suffered in early October. Jackson is averaging 15.2 points, 5.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game while shooting 42.8 percent from the field and 36.3 percent from 3-point range.

Despite the struggles Jackson is having this season, he would be an upgrade at the point guard position for the Magic. Jackson would bring in more athleticism to the starting lineup and another outside shooting threat to a lineup that needs outside shooting desperately.
