One year ago, many were touting Mario Hezonja as a potential future star. With unbridled confidence matched with a daredevil game, he was sure to be a standout.

However, a disappointing rookie campaign with Scott Skiles has somewhat dampened the mood toward Hezonja.

Many felt the swingman, who has often been seen as the rare figure who could win both the dunk contest and the 3-point contest, just did not have enough opportunity to see the court with the hard-nosed Scott Skiles running the ship.

Hezonja has a long way to go — his shot selection can be poor at times, and he still struggles on the defensive end of the floor. But there can be no doubt whenever he is on the floor, there is always the chance that he will make something happen.
