Five names Orlando Magic should watch in Summer League
Talib Zanna
Talib Zanna was an interesting prospect at Pittsburgh for four years. He was extremely raw and the four years playing basketball did not reveal too much. He put up good numbers and was a solid defender and rim protector at the college level. He had good size to intrigue plenty. But he had not quite put together a full NBA game.
Orlando is still in need of some rim protection and Zanna is someone who could contribute pretty quickly and play some spot minutes in the NBA.
For the Oklahoma City Blue last year, he posted 14.1 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game. He did not foul often either, averaging 2.8 fouls per game in 28.9 minutes per game.
He still has a lot to work on though. His offensive game still needs a lot of work. He does not have a ton of post moves or a post game to speak of. A lot of his offense comes from dump downs and put backs.
But this guy is athletic, runs the floor well and has some tools that should continue to be mined.
