JASON SMITH. B.
Expectations were admittedly low for Jason Smith, who was coming off a disappointing year in the Big Apple. But in Orlando, he surpassed expectations on both ends of the floor, transforming into a consistent scorer and reliable bench contributor for a Magic team that sometimes really needed it.
<div class=. F/C. Orlando Magic

His knock-down mid-range jump shot proved to be an invaluable tool for Orlando’s sometimes stagnant offense, although some nights his propensity to shoot the ball could sometimes be the 30-year-old center’s downfall.

He is also a liability on the glass, and this is an area where Smith must improve next season. But even with these weaknesses, it was undoubtedly a good season for the big man. It would certainly not be disappointing to see him wear the pinstripes again in 2017.
