March 15 vs. Nuggets

25 Pts., 13 Rebs., 10/15 FGs

Undoubtedly Smith’s finest game in a Magic uniform came in the team’s 116-110 win over the Denver Nuggets on March 15, in which he scored a season-high 25 points to go along with 13 boards, notching his second double-digit rebound game of the season, and his first double-double.

This game highlighted how effective Smith can be on offense at his peak with him hitting his trademark mid-range jumper with consistency, while also scoring the ball in other ways. This game was slightly out of character in that way, but Smith became near unstoppable as he popped in shots at such an incredible rate.

The other point of focus for this game was Smith’s rebounding — he pulled down a season-high 13 boards, including four on the offensive end.

While he was consistent, there were very few games in which Smith was able to affect the game in multiple ways as he did in the victory over the Nuggets.
