Best Game of 2016

March 26, 2016: vs. Chicago Bulls

8 Points, 7 Rebounds, 3/6 FG, +14 +/-

Although Marble’s eight-point, seven-rebound outing in the Magic’s 111-89 victory over the Chicago Bulls does not immediately stand out, and nor is it his most productive statistical output in the 2016 campaign. It is this game that is the former Hawkeye’s best as it came as part of a excellent performance on the part of the whole team.

Individually Marble shot well from the field, making half of his shots including one 3-pointer to score eight points. He also showed his ability on the glass, racking up seven rebounds.

His good defensive work was also part of the reason the Magic were able to hold Bulls star Jimmy Butler to a 12-point night.

Orlando as a whole had an excellent night, putting together a team performance that saw them obliterate a hapless Chicago Bulls squad.

Had the team been able to perform this well throughout January and February, one can only wonder if they could have made a run for a playoff spot, even in an improved Eastern Conference.
