The Orlando Magic gave the Miami Heat one solid half of basketball, but Miami erased those smiles in a huge third quarter.

The Orlando Magic found themselves playing without Victor Oladipo in addition to Nikola Vucevic missing his 12th straight game. And the Magic just seemed a little weary because of it.

Orlando shot just 42 percent from the field and, outside of Andrew Nicholson, no other Magic shooters were having much of a night.

The Magic mostly struggled with keeping the Miami Heat out of the paint. Whether it was the dribble penetration of Goran Dragic and Dwyane Wade or the pick and rolls run with Hassan Whiteside, the Miami Heat got to the rim against Orlando and made Orlando pay. Whiteside had nine dunks in the game, scoring 26 points off the Heat bench on 10-for-15 shooting.

The Magic are just undermanned and cannot thrive without both Oladipo and Vucevic. The Magic are not replete with offensive weapons that it can shoulder the loss of its best two offensive players and still beat good teams like the playoff-caliber Heat club.
