1. Karl-Anthony Towns

Previous Rank: 1

Karl-Anthony Towns has continued to impress and has hit no such version of any rookie wall.

Towns had 28 points against the Brooklyn Nets on Mar. 5 and followed it up with another 28 points Monday (Mar. 7) night against the Charlotte Hornets, too.

Towns is shooting 54.5 percent from the floor on 13.6 field goal attempts per night, and perhaps the only thing we might want more of from Towns is 3-point field goal attempts.

And he could still add that to his game as he continues to grow. Towns is shooting 34.4 percent from behind the arc, but he attempts just less than one per game.

Towns is averaging a strong double-double with 17.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game and there is little doubt he is going to fulfill the franchise tag that was associated with his name and his top overall draft position.

Towns at this point has to be considered the favorite for Rookie of the Year, even with the No. 2 player likely reaching greater levels of popularity.
