Orlando Magic: All-Star Weekend Participants
By Alex Horvath
All-Star Game
Realistically, Nikola Vucevic was the only real shot of the Magic having any All Stars this year, but failed to make the cut. Averaging 16.7 points per game, 8.9 rebounds per game, and a career-high 2.9 assists per game. He lost out to players with similar statistics, such as Chris Bosh, and Paul Millsap.
Albeit they are more notable players, on more notable teams, that may have something to do with how people perceive the Orlando Magic, and feel as if they are not ready to be recognized just yet. This might have been a different story had the Magic not been 1-9 in their last 10 games.
The Orlando Magic have not had an All-Star selection since 2012, when Dwight Howard was all the rage. The Magic are also without multiple all-star selections in the same year since 2009, when Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis and Jameer Nelson (he did not end up playing because of injury), were selected, good times, good times.
The Magic need to get one before they get many.

For now, it seems the Magic are only going to have the two representatives — Elfrid Payton and Mario Hezonja — at next weekend’s All-Star festivities in Toronto.
