Foot Locker 3-Point Contest (TBA)

Evan Fournier

Shooting 38 percent from the 3-point line, and one of the most improved players in the league this year, he is most deserving of participating in the 3-point shootout out of the Magic players.

The only thing working against him is the Magic’s low profile.

Mario Hezonja

His name is showing up quite a bit. That is because he is probably the only player on the Magic that can (or eventually will be able to) participate in multiple events on All-Star Weekend.

His shooting is deadly, especially from beyond the arc, and he loves competition, so why not?

This is a competition of confidence and swagger — Larry Bird walking off on the last shot, anyone? — and Hezonja embodies that. Plus he will already be there for the Rising Stars Challenge.

Channing Frye

Statistically the Magic’s best 3-point shooter, at 40 percent, there are not many options the Magic have for players in this category, so Frye will fill the final likely spot.

Frye as just a pure shooter was built for this kind of competition. He participated in the 2010 edition of the event.
