Nikola Vucevic was left off the All-Star team yet again. What would he have to do and who does he have to pass to get consideration in the future?

The Orlando Magic have struggled since the calendar turned to 2016, losing 11 of their 12 contests, their sole victory coming against a lifeless Brooklyn Nets team.

One of the many players on the roster struggling is center Nikola Vucevic, who is widely regarded as the team’s best player, particularly offensively. However, how does he stack up compared to others at his position in the Eastern Conference?

Since the removal of the ‘Center’ spot as one of the starters in the All-Star Game, the position has often been overlooked with only a few exceptions — DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers, and of course, a former Magic star by the name of Dwight Howard.

That said, the Eastern Conference boasts a surprisingly large number of talented players at the position, one of whom is Orlando’s very own Nikola Vucevic.

Vucevic missed the All-Star roster once again. Paul Millsap, Chris Bosh and Andre Drummond got the frontcourt nods over Vucevic and plenty others.

So just how far is Vucevic from the elite centers in the conference? Where he ranks among this cohort is an interesting question, especially given the gulf between his skills offensively, and defensively.
