GOAL ONE: WIN SOME GAMES SOMETIME SOON

Seems simple no?

This is a goal pretty much every NBA team has, but for the Magic, this is urgent. They need to get wins ASAP. And this is not simply because they hve won just one in their last 11, it is because they are in the calm before storm.

As the calendar turns, the Magic are going to face the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, the Hawks again, the Spurs again, the Dallas Mavericks and the Indiana Pacers. All in a row.

Undoubtedly their hardest stretch of the season (they also play the Golden State Warriors a game after), and despite only two of these games being on the road, that will likely not be enough to save them.

Before this hurricane hits, the Magic play the Grizzlies, Bucks and Celtics twice (with three of these games being away from the Amway Center).

They absolutely have to take the opportunities presented to them here. This is business they should have already taken care of already this week but have not. These games are not pushovers by any means (who is really, when you just got handled by the Philadelphia 76ers), but they look a lot sweeter than the teams listed above.

If the Magic cannot turn it around and get some wins against these guys, and then have to go play with the juggernauts . . . it is not going to reflect well on their record, and we will all be looking back on this week rather fondly.
