8. Stanley Johnson

Stanley Johnson has a chance to become a fully loaded weapon at the 3 or the 4 spot for the Detroit Pistons. Thus far he has posted 8.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.74 steals/blocks per game in about 22 minutes a night.

While those numbers hardly jump off the box scores, his play has been solid and Stan Van Gundy is not one to play guys just because they were selected high in the draft. He brings players along at a reasonable pace, and that seems to be the approach he is taking with Johnson.

The long-term question for both the Pistons and Heat will be who is better between Johnson and Winslow.

At this point, it has been Winslow, but only by a hair and still ever so early in their respective NBA careers.

Johnson has the athleticism and strength to cause a lot of problems for smaller 3-men, and that may be the forward slot he is best at. Certainly all worries of him being a tweener have been dispelled because the guy can flat out hoop.
