The Orlando Magic face an incredibly important week vs Eastern conference rivals the Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards.

Ouch.

In last week’s weekly preview, I wrote the Orlando Magic only needed a breakthrough game or two to really get into the top tier of the East. Just put together a little streak and there we go.

Unfortunately it did not work out last week.

After two home wins against the New Orleans Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets, the Magic hit the road for two games against teams that have had their number all season: the Washington Wizards and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Unfortunately, nothing changed there. Two bad losses, one in which the Magic could not even score 80 points.

Therefore, fans desperately look to the coming week for hope to see the Magic, now back in seventh in the Eastern Conference, back to their winning ways. Orlando will get opportunities against the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers, followed by quick rematches with the Nets and Wizards in an all-Eastern week.
