Orlando Magic Grades: Cleveland Cavaliers 104, Orlando Magic 79
The Orlando Magic got completely dismantled as the Cleveland Cavaliers vastly outperformed the Magic’s starters. Once again, the Magic are asking questions.
The Orlando Magic were dead on arrival in Cleveland on Saturday. Nearly from the opening tip, the Magic found themselves down and down big.
It was 19-2 fairly quickly into the game and Orlando trailed by 30 at one point in the game. Cleveland caught Orlando dribbling right into the teeth of its devastating defense and turned those traps into turnovers and turned into points.
The Magic’s defense continued to fail them too. There were multiple breakdowns and easy runs down the middle of the lane for jams and kick outs to open 3-point shooters. Orlando just was not playing at a level it needs to even to compete against any team, let alone Cleveland.
The Magic nearly did not have a double-digit scorer for the first time in franchise history. Aaron Gordon, Shabazz Napier and Mario Hezonja snuck in during an extended fourth-quarter run. Every important player for the Magic just did not come to play.
LeBron James sure did, dominating the game as he always seems to against the Magic.
