The Orlando Magic put together a strong fourth-quarter comeback and had a chance to win the game, but the Phoenix Suns were the superior team throughout.

The Orlando Magic saw the end of the road. Surely they did, the broadcast talked about nothing else but getting home and doing some laundry after more than a week on the road. The Magic’s five-game jaunt out West saw the team grind out some wins and continue the positive momentum of the first month of the season.

There are still plenty of holes though and the Magic’s 107-104 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday showed that.

In the third quarter, the Magic allowed the Suns to miss just six shots and they grabbed four offensive rebounds. The breakdowns on the perimeter allowed the Suns to take almost complete control of the game build a double-digit lead.

Orlando woke up and played a superb fourth quarter. The defensive intensity increased just enough and the Magic gave themselves a chance to win the game.

Playing a half a quarter is not going to be enough, even if the team can get close when the offense catches first. The Magic finished the road trip 3-2 and with plenty of positives, but they come home with a few more questions and the need to find consistency again.
