The Orlando Magic went out West for their first long road trip and have come away pretty good. They have shown strong resolve in picking up two wins.

The Orlando Magic went out West for their first big road trip of the season last week with some confidence brewing. They had won three straight games at home against Eastern Conference opponents and had creeped over .500 for the first time in the rebuild.

There were many firsts for this group and the confidence was flowing. Would it continue on the road?

The answer initially was yes.

Orlando won two of three games this week and could have easily swept through for the team’s sixth straight win. The failure to do so showed some of the holes that remain with the team.

Still, it was largely a positive week for the Magic in just about every way. The team continued to build confidence and establish itself as a team that can stay above .500 and win games it sometimes should not.

How they respond to the end of that win streak this week will be the most telling.

Here is what the Orlando Magic Daily staff learned about the team this week.
