Who are the best trios in Orlando Magic history? Despite its short history, the Magic have had some very strong trios that were very memorable.

NBA history is filled with some very special “Big 3’s”, which are powerful, star-studded trios who lead championship contending teams. Some of these include Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman with the Bulls; Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy with the Lakers; and, most recently, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with the Heat.

The Magic have had some very talented players in their short history, and our task is to rank the top Big 3’s.

One important thing separates the Magic trios from the aforementioned ones: championships. Each of those trios won multiple championships, while the Magic are still looking for their first.

When thinking about the best Magic trios, I thought it would be a bad idea to write down only the best players in franchise history. I feel that the top three trios would be overlapped, potentially being something like #1- Shaquille O’Neal, Anfernee Hardaway, Nick Anderson; #2- O’Neal, Hardaway, Horace Grant.

I thought the best way to go about this was to split franchise history up into different eras, and examine the best trio from each era.

I considered the pre-Shaq era, the Shaq and Penny era, post-Shaq, T-Mac, Dwight, and the current era.

I felt the top two trios were fairly obvious, but the last three were not as easy.
